In a November 3, 2022 letter to the clergy of the Eparchy of Newton, Bishop François announced the new vocation’s director in the person of Father John Mefrige (see the blog post on this site for November 6). The Director of the Deacon Formation Program remains with Father Bryan McNeil.

Bishop François writes: “Together, we decided to merge these two offices for the sake of clarity, consistency, and better collaboration in the various aspects of vocational discernment and formation.” The plan is to have a vocational representative in each of the five presbyteral regions coupled with a five-year vocations plan for the Eparchy.
