There’s a new demographic in our Eastern Catholic Churches. No longer are we Melkites with an Arab surname and culture. Thank God. St Ann’s (Waterford) (Waterford) is seeing this trend and we are grateful.

The Church is open to all who want to adhere to Jesus Christ follow the Greek Catholic tradition. The Maronites, Ukrainians, Ruthenians, and other Eastern Catholic churches are welcoming peoples from a diverse background.

“A lot of people today are looking for what they see as tradition or stability, things that are faithful to the church teaching, faithful to good liturgy. And so, where they’re not finding it in their own churches, [they] have found the Eastern churches. But also, there’s a lot of unchurched people who are coming.”
