Eight of us from St Ann’s made a pilgrimage in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary to the Monastery of Ou Lady Grace in North Guilford, CT. We joined the cloistered Dominican nuns for Vespers, Benediction, the Rosary and a short procession.
In our Byzantine Church, October 1 was the feast of the Protection of Mary, the Holy Theotokos. The first Sunday of October is Rosary Sunday (near to the feast of Mary of the Holy Rosary, October 7). It was fitting to pray with the members of the Latin, Maronite and Melkite Churches.
