My sisters and brothers in Christ:
I regret to inform you that, after consultation with Bishop Nicholas, it has been determined that Deacon Georges’ scheduled ordination on July 25th to the Holy Priesthood will be postponed. This is because of the threat of COVID 19 to the large number of people who were expected to attend. A new date will be communicated, once it has been determined.
We are also, regrettably, cancelling our Ender’s Island retreat and our annual picnic because of the COVID threat. Those events entail communal dining in which people do not wear masks.
We are attempting to limit all contact that is not required or necessary. I know this is disappointing news, but the safety of all concerned has to be the number one priority. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me.
Please pray for relief from this virus, so that we can once again resume our normal events. I cannot thank you enough for continuing your donations to the parish, during this difficult time. You are in my thoughts and in my prayers.
