Today, we liturgically recall the wonderworker Saints Cosmas and Damian. The saints are called Anargyroi in Greek, Physicians and Wonderworkers. Let’s remember our physicians in prayer today.
The Kontakion sung in Tone 2 for the feast:
Having received the grace of healing,
you grant healing to those in need.
Glorious wonder workers and physicians, Cosmas and Damian,
visit us and put down the insolence of our enemies,
and bring healing to the world through your miracles.
The image of Saints of Cosmas and Damian comes from the 1st half of the 15th century.
