Recently, Bishop Nicholas Samra announced the wonderful news that Father Mark Melone –who last year lovingly came to shepherd Holy Transfiguration, after the passing of the beloved pastor of nearly 50 years, Father Joseph Francavilla– has been assigned as our new pastor at Holy Transfiguration Melkite Greek-Catholic Church.
Saturday, on the Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God, Deacon Elias Dorham was ordained to the Holy Priesthood, Subdeacon Alexei Woltornist was ordained to the Holy Diaconate, and Peter Dorham was tonsured and blessed as a Reader.
And today, Deacon Oliver Black was also ordained to the Holy Priesthood.
So many gifts in our community. God has richly blessed us here at Holy Transfiguration.
